Partly this, partly that in my 26 years of life I’ve only seen capitalism, the federal government, and American politicians be absolute shit lmao
It’s always a good chuckle to reminisce about how some of the adults in my life would keep telling me how lucky I was to be born here as I was growing up. I’ve never felt lucky to be born in the US, I can say that much.

I don’t know about Gen Z being progressive. Aren’t a significant amount of them voting for the far-right across the western world? Also there was that study recently that found a higher percentage of Gen Z men think a wife should “obey” her husband than baby boomers…

lol that episode was unhinged for a kids show tbh 😂

What we watched as kids: the entire financial system collapse due to greed and corruption, only for the government to fall over itself trying to prop it up, all so a bunch of CEOs can get million dollar bonuses and nothing get fixed.

Christmas 2002 I got System of a Down, Steal This Album for Christmas. I wasn’t even 10 yet but the music made me feel sad. I was somehow aware that the music was talking about the bloodied kids being pulled from blown up buildings we’d see on TV every night, after dinner.
23yrs later and that shit still hits.

Uhhhh the younger Gen below millennials basically voted for Trump right? Especially considering the margins that demographic has traditionally voted Democratic??

Huh? Younger generations have always been more progressive and radical. The problem is… 1.) as they get older, many of their beliefs stay rooted and those beliefs become conservative, and 2.) they don’t vote.
